  Learning more about COMPASS and What it has to offer


Join the California Council for the Social Studies and the California State Library to learn about the  California Online Media Program for Access and Student Success (COMPASS) Online School Library. Participants will learn how to navigate the COMPASS program that provides dozens of resources and collections, free for all public schools and local libraries.  Mary Beth Barber, the manager of COMPASS from the California State Library, will demonstrate how to utilize literature resources from TeachingBooks, research resources from ProQuest and Britannica, and documentary and multi-media resources from Alexander Street. In addition to an overview, support for Ethnic Studies courses will also be shared, including no-cost access to thousands of drama performances and text plays for ethnic studies. Registration is required.
