Mineta (D-CA); Deputy Assistant and Deputy White House Chief of Staff to President Jimmy Carter, and Executive Director of the Democratic National Committee and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  

·      Dan Schnur 

Professor at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communications, the University of California – Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies and Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy, and founder of the USC/LA Times statewide political poll. Served as national Director of Communications for the 2000 presidential campaign of U.S. Senator John McCain and was the chief media spokesman for California Governor Pete Wilson.

Meet these remarkable leaders to hear about the challenges they faced as women in leadership - the lessons learned and their insights on what needs to be done to fulfill the vision of the women's suffrage movement led over 100 years ago.

·      Elizabeth Rindskopt Parker

Consultant, Defending Democratic Institutions Project of the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Dean Elizabeth Rindskopf Parker previously served as Executive Director of The State Bar of California. She also served as General Counsel of the National Security Agency,  Principal Deputy Legal Adviser at the U.S. Department of State, and General Counsel of the Central Intelligence Agency. She is the only woman to hold all three positions and the first to serve both as General Counsel for NSA and CIA.    

·      Darline P. Robles, PhD

Professor and Associate Dean for Equity and Inclusion, Rossier School of Education, University of Southern California.

Dr. Robles served as as the first Latina County superintendent of the Los Angeles County Office of Education. She was named a Top 100 Influential Hispanic Americans, and 2010 the L.A. County Commission for Women named her a Woman of the Year”. 

·      Renee Tajima-Peña. PhD

Professor of Asian American Studies and Director of the Center for EthnoCommunications, University of California, Los Angeles. 

Dr. Tajima-Peña is an Academy Award-nominated filmmaker whose work focuses on communities of color, immigration, gender, and social justice. Her previous films include Who Killed Vincent Chin?, MY AMERICA...or Honk if You Love Buddha, Labor Women, The New Americans: Mexico Story, Calavera Highway, and No Más Bebés.
